Travel Medicine

Dr Andy Torbet can help you with a wide range of travel medical information and vaccinations to help prepare for your travel.

Andy has post graduate qualifications and can offer yellow fever vaccination for patients who may be travelling to Africa or South America.

Travel medicine is a specialist service, and you will be required to complete our travel questionnaire and provide this to our clinic so we can allow enough time to complete your GP consult and arrange for vaccinations to be administered.

We recommend getting in touch with us at least one month before your travel departure date.

Fees will vary depending on the number of travellers in your family and the vaccinations you require - please enquire with our administration team when booking your consultation.

Payment is required on the day of your consultation or vaccination.

Travel Questionnaire

You will need to complete the questionnaire and return it to us prior to booking your consult with the travel doctor.

Once your travel questionnaire has been received the travel doctor can review your travel plans and customise the consult to ensure the advice is appropriate for the areas you are travelling to.

Some travel vaccination requires a course to be given over a period and it is best that you book your travel consult a couple of months prior to leaving on your trip.

Our nurses will usually administer your travel vaccination on the same day as your consult, however if you require a specialist travel vaccine, we may need to order this in and rebook you when the vaccine arrives.

The nurse will require an additional 30 minutes for your vaccine appointment, and you will need to wait for 20 minutes post vaccination.
